This section explains three combinations of trigger price and limit price when placing a stop sell order on the BTC/JPY pair.
When the trigger price is lower than the limit price
・Trigger price < limit price (trigger price: 4,000,000, limit price: 4,200,000)
・When the trigger price is reached, the limit sell price of 4,200,000 is triggered and will not be executed until the price reaches the limit price.
When the trigger price and the limit price are the same
・Trigger price = Limit price (Trigger price: 4,000,000, Limit price: 4,000,000)
・When the trigger price is reached, the limit sell price of 4,000,000 is triggered and may be executed by the taker. Also, depending on the orderbook condition, it may be left behind on the sell orderbook and not be executed.
When the trigger price is higher than the limit price
・Trigger price > limit price (trigger price: 4,000,000, limit price: 3,800,000)
・When the trigger price is reached, it will almost always hit the buy orderbook and is more likely to be executed by the taker
*Depending on the orederbook conditions, a stop order when the trigger price is higher than the limit price will have almost the same execution conditions as a stop market order.
